Whether you love it or hate, you can’t avoid Valentine’s Day – in the inbox anyway. V-Day promotions were everywhere this year, with more brands ramping up their creativity and delivering exceptional email experiences. Here are five of our favorite emails from Valentine’s Day 2017. #### Our 5 favorite Valentine’s Day 2017 Emails**Dunkin’ Donuts**[![](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/15214755/Screen-Shot-2017-02-15-at-4.47.12-PM.png)](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/15214755/Screen-Shot-2017-02-15-at-4.47.12-PM.png)Dunkin’ Donuts made it easy to find a gift for all the coffee-obsessed valentines out there. In this email, they promote their mobile app, in-store purchases, website _and_ loyalty program. By combining clever messaging and personalization, they delivered a relevant, on-brand message to their subscribers.**Blink Fitness**[![](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/15195355/BlinkFitness.gif)](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/15195355/BlinkFitness.gif)Blink Fitness did an awesome job of combining their brand messaging (love yourself!) with the holiday. This email included a GIF and went out to people who hadn’t yet signed up for a gym membership. They also sent out a separate campaign to their members that included a personalized song. Pretty sweet, right?**Heifer International**[![](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/15222146/Screen-Shot-2017-02-14-at-10.30.45-AM.png)](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/15222146/Screen-Shot-2017-02-14-at-10.30.45-AM.png)Heifer International is a global nonprofit that works to provide livestock to struggling communities. They sent their supporters an email that not only included name personalization, but also spelled out a list of attributes based on the letters in their supporter’s name. They even added signatures from the Heifer Animals to make the email feel extra special.**Lyft**[![](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/15214824/Screen-Shot-2017-02-15-at-2.57.50-PM.png)](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/15214824/Screen-Shot-2017-02-15-at-2.57.50-PM.png)Email campaigns that [showcase your customers](https://movableink.com/blog/why-brands-need-to-tap-into-user-generated-content-and-how-to-use-it-in-your-emails/) are especially powerful. Add a charitable component, and you’ve got a winning campaign. For V-Day, Lyft encouraged their customers to pay it forward by doing something nice for a stranger. They featured real Lyft passengers who went out of their way to offer kind gestures to others.**Uniqlo**[![](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/15214751/Screen-Shot-2017-02-15-at-3.05.27-PM.png)](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/15214751/Screen-Shot-2017-02-15-at-3.05.27-PM.png)Like many retailers, Uniqlo used Valentine’s Day to treat their customers to a special deal. They offered free shipping on every order and featured their top picks for him and her. Because it’s a limited time offer, it’s sure to drive additional sales from last-minute Valentine’s Day shoppers.
