Movable Ink Culture Series: December Rewind

|

January 12, 2022

At Movable Ink, we strive to create an environment that embraces diversity, growth, and the importance of work-life balance. Every day, we celebrate the achievements of each other and the work we’ve created in small ways that make a big impact.

Welcome to the Movable Ink Culture Series. We’re happy to have you here.

December is a busy month. First and foremost it’s a month where Movable Ink supports marketers in getting their highly anticipated holiday campaigns out the door. However, it’s also a month to reflect on the milestones reached throughout the year and an opportunity to create new goals for 2022.

In the midst of the holiday bustle, we found it important to take time to slow down, have fun, and come together as a company to commemorate one another. Here’s a glimpse into how we did it:

DIY Gingerbread House Class - Virtual

When you can’t meet your teammates in person to decorate a gingerbread house, you do it virtually (and bring the kids along for the fun).

Lifting Hands Gift Drive - Costa Rica

Our Costa Rica Inkers spent a day volunteering at Lifting Hands, an organization focused on finding stability for refugees. During this time, they donated gifts and crafts to the 24 children involved.

Know of an Inkredible non-profit? Movable Ink is always looking for new organizations to donate time and resources to. Contact officeadmin@movableink.com for more information.

World Aids Day Paint & Sip - Costa Rica, NYC

Inklusive, Movable Ink’s community for LGBTQ+ employees and allies, hosted a paint & sip event where Inkers celebrated the life of legendary LGBTQ+ artist Keith Haring. Not only did this event give teams an opportunity to express their creativity, but it was also a time to show support to those living with HIV, and to remember those who have died from an AIDS-related illness.

Murder Mystery Holiday Party - Virtual

Black-Ink, a Movable Ink ERG, hosted a “whodunit” themed party to get into the holiday spirit. Each member took on the role of a culture icon to solve the murder mystery case of Mr. Scrooge.

Chirstkindlmarket - Chicago

Our Chicago Inkers couldn’t make the flight to Germany, so the Christkindlmarket on Washington Street sufficed. Mulled wine, stuffed pretzels, and Haribo candy made for a delicious feast.

We’re hiring.

Careers

Ice Skating - NYC

Nothing says the holidays in New York City like ice skating. There may have been a few stumbles along the way, but all Inkers left Bryant Park in one piece. On the rink, many leaned on one another for support, similar to what’s seen in the office.

Holiday Happy Hours - Global

Happy hours are the perfect time for Inkers to unwind from a busy day and get to know each other outside of work. Talking about email all day is fun, but it’s nice to share your favorite Tik Tok every once in a while, too.

DIY Hand-Pulled Noodles - Virtual

Australia Inkers joined together for a holiday party filled with carbs, chopsticks, and good conversation. Word to the wise: DIY hand-pulled noodles are not easy — they just make it look like it is.

White Elephant and Secret Santa - Global

Gift giving is something we love to do at Movable Ink, whether it be an in-person or virtual affair. Where else can one receive a tortilla blanket or a self-help book titled, “Tricks to Appear Smart”?

Coffee Meet Up - Virtual

There’s no better way to start the day than with a cup of coffee. Costa Rican coffee company, Cafeoteca, hosted a morning pick-me-up with Inkers to get them fueled and motivated for the workday ahead.

Wreath-Making Class - UK

Breaking up the workday with a crafting session should be a regular occurrence. London Inkers created decor worthy of hanging on the front door at the wreath-making class hosted by WeWork.

The magic of Movable Ink is created by the dedicated, hardworking, and passionate people seen in these photos. There’s never been a better time to join our team. Check out our career page today.
