As a company that makes a commitment to empathy, we like to make time to give back, and these last few months have been full of volunteering opportunities. Let’s take a look at some of the organizations and initiatives we’ve proudly worked with this fall.
New York Cares is dedicated to improving learning environments across the five boroughs. New York Cares Day is the largest single day of service for public schools in the city, and our team helped send the message that every playground, mural, and student is worth our time.
GlamourGals volunteers provide seniors with a restored sense of dignity through personal attention and the warmth of caring touch, as well as the opportunity to share their stories. A team of Inkers spent the afternoon chatting with seniors and giving them makeovers.
We partnered up with Visit.org and Paws NY to help New York City’s most vulnerable residents feed their pets. Our office donated so much pet food the Visit.org team needed a second car to finish the delivery! And to inspire our team, the two Inkers who made the biggest donations got some one-on-one time with puppies at our Mental Health Day celebration.
On Tech Gives Back Day, tech companies participate in volunteering projects in the city. This year, Movable Ink was a sponsor and our team had plenty of volunteering options to choose from. Some Inkers helped students at P.S. 149 make galaxy mason jars and others went to Riverside Park Conservancy to help restore, maintain, and improve the park’s historic landscape, structures, and monuments.
Throughout the fall, our UK office is fundraising to help homeless youth. We pied colleagues in the face, sold baked goods, and have an ongoing fundraiser page to help the cause. Our Just Giving page was even in the top 5% of fundraisers for the site.
