Culture Spotlight: Movable Ink Gives Back

As a company that makes a commitment to its values, we strive for a culture of empathy (one of our core values) which is embodied by each of our team members. Through employee-led volunteering, fundraising, and sponsorship of causes near and dear to our hearts, our company culture fosters a sense of well-being and engagement for employees and our community at large. We fundraise and participate in their Cares Day events twice a year: once in the Spring for beautification of parks and again in October to improve conditions of underfunded schools. The wonderful staff also gave us a full tour educating us on the history of the shelter, and then a little meet and greet with some of the furry companions up for adoption[](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/16141750/Screen-Shot-2018-03-16-at-10.12.40-AM.png)Tech Gives Back Day is a day of service where hundreds of employees from a variety of technology companies convene to volunteer in projects in their local community. Movable Ink was a sponsor for this event and spent the morning landscaping at the Riverside Park Conservancy before heading to work.[**New York Blood Center**](http://nybloodcenter.org/)[](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/16141749/Screen-Shot-2018-03-16-at-10.12.54-AM.png)Twice a year, during the Blood Center’s most critical times of need, we host a public blood drive in our office with dozens of donors contributing to the City’s vital supply.[**Coalition for the Homeless**](http://www.coalitionforthehomeless.org/)[](https://s3.amazonaws.com/movableink-blog-production/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/16141747/Screen-Shot-2018-03-16-at-10.13.08-AM.png)We prepped and served over a hundred nutritious meals to the homeless during the dinner service at St. Bartholemew’s Church.
