The Director, Strategy will be charged with driving quantifiable, measurable and winning strategies for applications of Movable Ink software. The Director will own strategic consulting engagements across a portfolio of Movable Ink’s largest Media, Technology and Telecommunications clients, with the goal of driving clients’ C-level business goals with Movable Ink technology. The Director will also function as a leader within the Media & Technology Strategy Practice, managing a Senior Analyst and working with the Strategy VP to support the Practice’s roadmap, annual planning and operations. 

In addition to leading client engagements, the Director will also provide scalable strategic support and thought leadership in the form of Media & Technology focused enablement material for our Go-To-Market teams, content marketing and press contributions, and conference presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of each client’s marketing program, goals and challenges by leading client discovery sessions, conducting research and aligning with internal account teams
  • Devise highly impactful email and mobile strategies using Movable Ink’s tech; influence adoption by delivering compelling presentations and data analysis to senior client stakeholders
  • Develop and own relationships with executive level contacts at client organizations
  • Design and analyze marketing test plans; deliver reporting and impact analyses
  • Work with the Strategy VP to prioritize the Practice’s focus areas and to establish a plan for attaining growth and retention goals
  • Own KPI management for their book of business including forecasting and analysis of client health, risk and Sales pipeline using reporting tools and through close alignment with account teams
  • Work with the Strategy VP to optimize the Practice’s delivery of client engagements through coaching, reviewing team deliverables and proactively identifying opportunities for enhancement
  • Align closely with Director or higher level counterparts across Sales, Client Experience and Marketing teams on account planning, pipeline generation and Strategic support needs
  • Partner with Movable Ink’s Marketing and PR teams to author original research and content pieces, participate in press coverage, identify and present at industry events and conferences
  • Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader on the Media & Technology industry, keeping abreast of the latest marketing trends and best practices and distilling these to internal teams and clients
  • Provide ongoing enablement to Client Experience, Sales and Product teams on Media & Technology marketing strategy and applications of Movable Ink by developing playbooks and hosting live training sessions

 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in digital marketing working brand side or with an ESP, Agency or Consultancy
  • Deep expertise in Media & Technology brand CRM strategy and technology (email marketing experience required, other channels such as mobile marketing preferred)
  • Strong ability and experience creating and leading presentations for executive audiences; comfortable presenting to the C-Suite
  • Able to cultivate relationships and influence strategy and tech investments at the executive level
  • Experience developing data-driven business cases and marketing strategy roadmaps
  • Knowledge of the marketing technology landscape (key players, capabilities, common tech stack setups)
  • Tenacity and aptitude for navigating large, matrixed organizations to successfully deliver adoption and usage of new technologies; resourcefulness to overcome roadblocks and sell in a long term vision
  • Proven ability to project manage and leverage strong organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and deliverables simultaneously
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams of internal stakeholders including technical, marketing, design teams to deliver initiatives
  • Strong experience analyzing and presenting marketing analytics
  • Experience and passion for people management, coaching and development 

 

The base pay range for this position is $170,000 - $178,000 USD/year, which can include additional on-target commission pay/bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options and other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position ultimately offered.
