Business Systems Administrator - NYC

The Business Systems Administrator will own tools critical to Movable Ink’s success, and will partner with cross functional teams to learn business needs and how it may impact the entire tool set, including but not limited to Gainsight, Salesforce, Marketo, and Zendesk. This individual will own Movable Ink’s instance of Gainsight, including its architecture and configuration, coordinating internally to identify the sources, metrics, frequency, and granularity of its data.

System Management:

  • Manage user accounts, groups and security settings in multiple software tools
  • Make recommendations to improve efficiencies through development and adoption of best practices and standardized procedures; continuously improve existing systems
  • Monitor system performance, data integrity, and user activity
  • Manage requests and troubleshooting for Gainsight and other tools

Business Operations Responsibilities:

  • Support business strategy development, documenting and implementing new processes
  • Help determine the most significant factors contributing to overall customer health
  • Develop an understanding of sources of risk (churn) as well as positive trends
  • Design business rules that trigger actionable events for the customer success team
  • Comfortable with fit/gap analysis, identifying potential options/systems for future usage

Requirements:

  • Salesforce configuration and administration experience (2+ years preferred)
  • Previous experience in database management and/or development
  • Understands object-oriented concepts and fundamentals of Boolean logic
  • Comfortable quickly learning and navigating new tools
  • Clear communicator with excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Excellent critical thinking skills; breaks down problems into manageable components
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to understand business requirements and translate them to effective use of applications
  • Confidence in advocating for best practices
  • BS or BA degree preferred

Helpful Background:

  • Experience with Gainsight or similar Customer Success Management software
  • Previous experience in a sales operations, customer success operations, or business operations role
  • Previous experience with a ticketing system such as Zendesk
  • Project management and task organization skills
