The Movember Foundation is the leading charity addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. When it came to kicking off Movember 2018 with an exciting email experience, their marketing team knew Movable Ink’s personalization capabilities and new augmented reality experience was the way to go.
Movember’s AR experience
Movember is one of the first Movable Ink clients to go live with our accessible AR capabilities, and their Mo Season Launch campaign used cutting-edge capabilities to excite their audience and boost fundraising activity.
If subscribers opened the email on the mobile device’s native mail app, they’re shown creative suggesting either the Mo Sista or Mo Bro filters. From there, subscribers are led to a Custom AR experience where their name is overlaid onto a frame.
When subscribers opened the email up on desktop or gmail, their Mospace profile picture was merged through along with their name. If a subscriber doesn’t have a profile photo, they’re shown a default that encourages them to download Movember’s app, log on, and add a photo.
Sharing it loud and proud
In addition to collaborating on visual experiences with the Movember Foundation, Movable Ink is supporting the cause in another way – by fundraising throughout the month of November (er, I mean Movember). Each Movable Ink office (NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, and London) will compete to see who can raise the most, with all donations going to the Movember Foundation. Our culture team will also be hosting a silent auction and lunch and learn to support the cause.
