At Movable Ink, privacy, security and compliance is at the core of everything we do. That’s why we’re excited to announce that Movable Ink achieved SOC 2 Type 2 compliance in June of this year.
SOC 2 is a component of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA)’s Service Organization Control reporting platform. Its goal is to make sure that security measures are well-designed and operating effectively over time to protect the Movable Ink platform and especially customer data. It also allows our clients and partners to independently verify our security standards.
We opted for SOC 2 Type 2 certification to truly give our clients and partners assurance that our security controls are well designed and operating effectively over time. SOC 2 Type 1 only reflects that a company has defined its policies and controls whereas SOC 2 Type 2 validates that a company is committed to successfully managing those policies and controls continuously throughout the year.
