Almost 50% of retailers don’t collect email addresses via social or in-store
A new report from Yesmail suggests many marketers still have a lot of work to do when it comes to leveraging email. The 2016 Yesmail Channel Report surveyed 200 retailers at the National Retail Federation’s 2015 Shop.org conference. Some of the findings:
- 64% of brands don’t personalize email copy, and more than two-thirds don’t use customer data to personalize products and services featured in emails.
- 60% of retailers are integrating email with social media channels like Facebook and Twitter, but only 36% use social media to improve the targeting and relevance.
- Over two-thirds of retailers don’t collect consumers’ email addresses when they interact with the brand’s mobile app.
