We’re big on culture here at Movable Ink. Where it’s Bring Your Child to Work Day or restoring underfunded schools with New York Cares, we love having fun and giving back to our local community whenever possible.
Culture is more than fun events and perks, though. A true culture strengthens teams and encourages professional and personal development.
That’s why, for this month’s Culture Spotlight, we wanted to highlight our professional networking group for women: Movable Pink.
Movable Pink’s mission is to be a meaningful resource to the women of Movable Ink for their professional and personal development; to encourage and support women in the greater digital marketing / tech ecosystem; to foster meaningful relationships with the community at large.
Movable Ink helps us build connections with each other and ultimately learn from one another. There are a number of ways we do this, including…
* Lunch series between women at MI to connect women across cross-functional teams. This helps us get to know other women on the team, understand their roles, and offer/receive support when we need it.
* Networking events with women in the startup, tech and digital marketing community. We regularly attend events with inspiring speakers, stay active in the digital marketing community, and network with other groups.
* Mentorship program. For our newest initiative, all Movable Pink members are encouraged to sign up to become a mentor, mentee, or both.
* Book club. We look for books that inspire us, teach us something new, and most importantly, spark a meaningful discussion.
These are just a few of the initiatives Movable Pink has been working on in 2017. Stay tuned for more exciting updates in the coming months!
