What does Redeemio do?

Redeemio organizes and personalizes the world's discounts. We aggregate deals from nearly all the daily deal sites and present a personalized list of deals to our subscribers in dozens of metros.

How do you use email?

We send each of our subscribers a personalized email of all the local deals and discounts in their area each day.

What was your old process for adding dynamic content to your emails?

We build each email independently based on proprietary algorithms that are unique to each user. Building our emails with merge tags was easy but very limiting. We have invested a lot of time in web technologies and our personalization algorithms. It's been a pain to recreate this within an ESP.

What interested you most about Movable Ink?

I was curious about how Movable Ink works and asked the question on Quora. You guys responded! We were interested in Movable Ink because each time someone opens our email we want to make sure that the most relevant and popular deals are being shown to them because we only show a few deals in each email. As some deals expire or others become popular, we want to make sure that our subscribers don't have to be encumbered with deals they can't use or are less relevant. With Movable Ink we can always ensure that each person sees the most popular and relevant deals to them...it's like personalization on steroids.

How did you implement Movable Ink?

We set up seven dynamic web pages that are powered by our algorithms. Each page corresponds to a single deal in the email. We captured this real-time content, added them it our email HTML, and finally uploaded it to our ESP. Now, whenever a Redeemio email is opened it grabs the deals that we think would be most appropriate for the subscriber. The process was pretty easy.

What were the results?

Our clickthrough rates are up by 17% versus our old email! At the end of the day, dollars vote. These higher rates mean more people are seeing relevant deals which ultimately leads to better conversions.

Are you planning on implementing any other real-time features?

In the future we would love to try social purchasing aspects, on-the-fly A/B testing, and geo-targeting/mapping functionality.
